Qastal Zaman

 Our family bought a piece of land in the desert, far away from towns and cities to pursue our favourite hobby – endurance riding. The whole family was involved with horses, from riding to crewing for teams to organising events, so in 1999 the building you see today was built.
Set amongst local farms and a ‘Roman dam’, the riding stables was home to 25 horses at its peak and the family flat upstairs. We hosted local and international endurance races, taught beginners to ride and welcomed everyone with a piping hot cup of tea.
As the years passed and the riding events grew less frequent, changes were made to the back of the building to cater as an events venue for weddings and special occasions. Whether during the day with the family or partying in the evening with friends, guests love spending time around the pool out in the fresh desert air.
Now in 2025, we open the doors wider to welcome more visitor with the addition of 6 new guest rooms replacing the exsisting stables.
About the name… ‘Qastal’ is the name of our local area while ‘Zaman’ means a long time ago. I guess being proud of our history, we like to be nostalgic.
